Designed for those who wish to take their first steps on vertical ice or strengthen their technical abilities in a winter environment.
Our Mountain Guides will accompany you step by step to improve your sensitivity, balance, and equipment management.

The course will take place on the background of Adamello, Dolomites, Cogne or other location with the best ice and weather conditions.

🎯 Course Objectives
Acquire the fundamental techniques of front-point and piolet-traction climbing.
Learn how to place ice screws and build safe anchors.
Understand rope management and abseiling techniques.
Deepen knowledge of safety and self-rescue in a winter setting.

📅 Day 1 – Basic Technique and Safety
• Course presentation and equipment check.
• Proper use of crampons and ice axes, progression on moderate slopes.
• Safety principles, communication, and rope team management.
• Front-point progression and first piolet-traction practice on single-pitch routes.
📅 Day 2 – Practical Application and Ropework
• Technical review and climbing on steeper icefalls.
• Placement of ice screws and anchor building.
• Abseiling and self-rescue techniques.
• Final evaluation and personalized feedback for further improvement.
